Harp Trio to perform at Conception Abbey

Conception Abbey and Seminary College, located outside Conception Junction, will host a performance by a harp trio from Des Moines. Assistant Professor of Music, Brother Michael Marcotte, says one of the college's associates helped put the performance together.

"The concert is being organized by one of the oblates of Conception Abbey and she is from Des Moines by the name Mary Dee Young.  She's coming with two other harp players, her teacher and another of her associates."

The concert will take place in the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception at 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 29th. A reception featuring cookies, coffee, punch and more is scheduled to follow the concert. There is no cost to attend.
